S.M's English Medium School, established in 1981, is situated in the heart of the city, Karad. The school has three wings i.e. pre-primary, primary & secondary. The school community comprises of a wide range of cultural & socio economic backgrounds. S.M.'s English Medium School aims to create a caring, harmonious & student-centred learning community, committed to provide through purposeful teaching, opportunities for all students to achieve. Their personal best academically & socially, become confident, resourceful & responsible citizens. The school’s vision is “Pursuit of Excellence through education.” Mission is “Capacity building of the students through imparting value based education.”

Excellence, Integrity, Responsibility & Tolerance are the high Expectations that the whole school community will work together. Music, Art, Sports, Foreign languages, ATL Tinkering are the key features of the school. Parental involvement is actively sought & vital to the success of a wide range of extra-curricular activities of all the three wings of the school, forming Parents Teachers Association.

The school has excellent grounds & facilities which include- big classrooms, music room, digital classrooms, cycle-parking area, playground, play equipment, ATL Tinkering lab, whiteboards, huge library, etc. A safe, supportive learning environment with accurate planning in academics, sufficient scope to develop kinaesthetic activities, scope to develop the potentials of the students in the academics are the key features of teaching-learning process. Teachers work as facilitator, monitor at every step of teaching-learning process, assessing the students' activities, provide formal & informal feedback to the students as well as parents. In fact, the witness of the realized truth of any civilized society is education. We all the teachers, on the basis of our prudence, progressive dedication and academic skill, are bound to keep the continuous stream of knowledge flowing continuously as per the need of the present time. Along with this, with the proper combination of efficient guidance and truthful counselling, contribute to nation-building by properly developing the inherent capabilities and immense possibilities in the students.

Our aim is to impart value-based education with holistic approach and create a strong learning environment that enhances academic achievement and develops students' social and relationship skills that last throughout their lives.
